  • 3 slices wheat bread (or bread of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons mayo (I recommend Duke’s, Hellmann’s, or Trader Joe’s)
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Salt and pepper to taste (for the tomatoes)
  • 2 ounces sliced deli ham
  • 2 ounces sliced turkey
  • 2 slices cooked bacon
  • 1 slice Colby jack cheese (or cheese of choice—cheddar and Swiss work great too

Instructions
 

  • Start by toasting your bread slices. You can toast them lightly or more golden, depending on your preference. Let them cool for a few minutes to avoid wilting the lettuce when assembling the sandwich.
  • Once your bread is cooled, spread mayo on all three slices of bread. A generous layer on each slice will add a creamy and flavorful base that complements the other ingredients.
