Cooking Instructions

  • Now that you have your ingredients and tools ready, let’s dive into the cooking process! Follow these easy steps to create a flavorful and creamy Cajun Chicken dish.
  • Start by cutting the chicken breasts in half lengthwise, so you end up with four thinner cutlets. This will ensure the chicken cooks evenly and quickly. Once you have your cutlets, season them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning. Coat each piece of chicken in flour to create a light, crispy crust during cooking.
  • Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot and the butter has melted, add the seasoned chicken. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Let them cook for about 30 seconds, allowing the garlic to become fragrant. Then, pour in the chicken broth and stir the mixture, scraping up any bits of flavorful chicken that might have stuck to the bottom of the pan.
  • Reduce the heat to medium, and stir in the heavy cream and the remaining tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, letting it thicken for about 2-3 minutes. Return the chicken to the skillet, letting it cook for another 5 minutes, ensuring the chicken is cooked through and fully coated with the creamy sauce.
  • Once the sauce has thickened, sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the chicken (or stir it into the sauce for extra richness). Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Serve immediately, and enjoy your creamy Cajun chicken!
